3102 - Port was disabled because a pause flood was detected

Severity: MAJOR

Description: Because a pause flood is detected on an Ethernet port, it has been disabled to avoid further service degradation.

Possible cause: Bad NIC on the server. If too many pause frames are detected on a port, then the port is disabled with this state.

Actions:

• Update the NIC firmware.
• Enable the disabled ports in the Virtual Connect CLI using the command reset port-protect or through the Virtual Connect GUI.
• Replace the NIC.
